Designed to track patient anesthesia outcome as well as the cost of agents both used and wasted, the A-TRAK® Software System for Windows® consists of six related programs that make quick work of database design and protection, case data entry, and targeted data extraction. A few clicks and keystrokes are all you'll need to enter, select, and compile information that is critical to the management of both anesthesia quality for your patients and anesthesia costs for your facility. Each of the six A-TRAK® programs is described below. A-TRAK® System Set-Up Customize A-TRAK® to suit your hospital, clinic, or office-based surgical facility. In this set-up program, you'll define the items that will be tracked and the selections that will appear on your data collection screens. You'll also enter agent purchasing information that will allow A-TRAK® to calculate anesthesia expenses by agent/by case. A-TRAK® Chart Entry and QA The data entry program allows your professional personnel to enter chart information, including detailed clinical comments on QA indicators, directly into the database. An optional Read Only Mode is available, allowing existing chart review but preventing new chart entry or existing-chart updates. A-TRAK® Graphs, Charts & Reports With virtually the touch of a button or two, A-TRAK® will extract and compile vital information from your database. It will present that information in the most appropriate graphic form -- as a brightly colored bar graph, line graph, or pie chart -- or as a comprehensive report. An extensive array of options has been programmed for your convenience. A-TRAK® Verify and Backup Databases Critical protection of your database is provided via this program as A-TRAK® checks the integrity of your tables and, if everything is in order, saves them to an archive file. Use it regularly to prevent the loss of valuable data and the extensive cost that would be required, if you could reconstruct it. A-TRAK® Verify and Rebuild Should A-TRAK® find any problems during the verification process, this program can, in most cases, repair your database quickly. A-TRAK® Restore If your database problems are too serious for rebuilding, restoration can still be achieved by overlaying the corrupted database with the archive file that you created (and regularly updated) via the verification and backup process.
